Community Outreach
As a school and organization we make an effort to improve our community and the lives of others through education and giving. Sundrops' students learn about giving back to communities both locally and internationally.
Lowcountry Food Bank
The Lowcountry Food Bank collects food items and funds to help provide meals for families in need. We will run a food drive from November 14th until December 14th. Our goal is to fill a 55 gallon drum with necessary products such as: rice, tuna, peanut butter, beans (dried or canned), oatmeal, diapers, and of course any canned goods. For more information on the Lowcountry Food Bank please click here to visit their website, and for a list of necessary items click here.
Water Missions International
Water Missions International raises funds to provide safe, clean drinking water for people all over the world. To date they have provided drinking water to over 1 million people. On March 24, 2012 Sundrops will be a part of the Walk for Water in Charleston, SC. We will begin raising money in January to sponsor our team. During the event, walkers carry a bucket of water to symbolize what many have to do everyday in order to get water. To learn more about this organization you can visit their website.
The Pink Tower
At Sundrops, we feel strongly that helping students of all learning styles benefits those students as well as those they interact with in the classroom. The Pink Tower was founded to help students with learning differences, with the goal of having those children achieve social and educational independence. This organization gives funds to families that need additional support for their children in the Montessori classroom. For more information about The Pink Tower click here to view their website.
